    Colmslie

Hi all, I went for a quick fish today at Colmslie Boat ramp. It was raining then sun shine then rain etc. Anyway fished all around hte place and got 3 hits in total of the rockwall near the boat ramp no hook up though . It was very busy in the carpark and was a beautiful day. I'll be sharking off the new fishing jetty.

    Cheers Tom

had a go at the new jetty with livies the other day for no results but the tide was at a very low, low and there wasn't much water arround looks like it might be a good option when the tides a bit fuller. allaways plenty of bait arround there! got clean bitten off on a slab bait 4 times any idears to what might have done this in that area?? i was thinking it might be crabs?? but in was about 3or 4 inch from the bait, clean cut with no fraying?

would sharks bite you off without the bite really showing?? like the line had been cut with sharp sicssors?? do you just need heavy mono or would you need to go wire to stop that happening??

By the looks of it there is a guy fishing from the new pontoon, so i gather it's finished.
Last time I was there, in January the thing was still under construction, mind you the sign said it was to be finished in August 2007 and the workers were sitting and having a looooong lunch

GazzaB Could possibly be toad fish. They can nibble through your line without even really knowing , Cheers

Hows the end of the ramp at low tide?
Have they extended it or is there still a big drop off?

Still the same drop off. Look for the marker pole on the ponttoon Handrail, i think its painted with a yellow mark to mark the end of the ramp
