I tried splashing a tango dancer around in that little bay in the arvo for no result, might have to back track through a few old posts, Im sure there was something on the boards a while ago on getting the most out of your retrieve
Yeah i put it on freshwater chat called Walking the dog/surface lures, somewhere early to mid january.
Will try and hook up for a fish one arvo session on the poppers.
thanks for the report Brian.Sorry you didnt score any Barra but thats a nice bass.Its amazing the size of lure the bass will hit. We have caught them at Hinze on predetek 150 vipers. I'll be up there the 2nd week in April in the houseboat for my first time at Moduran so conditions should have changed by then I hope.

Thanks for the report brian, very similar to what we encountered a few weeks ago, but it gets us out of the house and makes us even keener for the next trip. i know what you mean about that s/e breeze i had to borrow a bloody jumper on the sundy morn, wont be up for while,might chase some bass round the sunny coast for a while, and get to the reef when this s/e finaly decides to p#*ss off.
