Yeah,
Just wish we could get all the fish hit to come up like that
not my pics but a couple i picked up off the net over the years that are eye opening. I did have another one somewhere that was amazing but can't find it currently.
Jack.
You must have some pretty slow and not to bright dolphins in WA I have never heard of Dolphin strikes in Moreton Bay and if they are on to you when you are fishing in a big ole boat, don't matter where you go, you will never be rid of them. They always race my bow wave whilst underway, never hit one yet

Just as a general question (and I don't want this to hi-jack this thread cause some of the pics are amazing) but: why don't the sharks or whatever is having a snack on the catches go for the head instead of the tail? Perhaps the fact that the caught fish is being taken somewhere that it doesn't want to be and the tail is the only well presented target for the predator? Does anyone know if in the wild sharks etc just lob off the tail end first and then eat the rest at their leisure?
cheers

Hi Ryan,
I have lost so many fish (mainly Reds) to Sharks and it gets extremely frustrating when you can't pull a fish up. Believe it or not I don't have many pics of sharked fish because we rarely get the opportunity of even getting a head back. They usually hit you and just keep going without even slowing down or eat the whole fish and chew straight through the line. Must be some bloody big Sharks out there.
here's a few pics of some not so lucky fish and some of very lucky fish that only got fins chewed on. I also added a a pic of a snapper head that was caught a few years back during the Fraser Island fishing comp. Head went 6.5kg from memory.
Regards,
Greg
Thanks Greg,
Them are some beauties, especially that one of the snapper head, but the best has to be that shot of you and your Dad in those stubbies.
Cheers again, Ryan.
