Koomba sooties
Hey guys, we've been doing a bit of impoundment fishing lately with the rivers being in a pretty bad state. Things havent been too bad with quite a few nice sooties being landed. Most fish have fallen either to plastics or surface lures. Catching sooties makes for a good trip away from the masses. Heres a few pics.

Great photos, love the underwater shots. We haven't been up to Koomba for about 6 weeks and judging by your photos you must have been prior to the recent downfalls, still a bit of bank showing. I would imagine the dam would currently be at full capacity.
We love the place as well, great to get down the back of the dam and feel the freedom.
Just waiting for the place to dry out a bit and we will be back.
Regards Cameron.

Re: Koomba sooties
Great looking fish and pics.
I went for a drive in there about six months ago after a weekend in Cairns. Will definitely be going back with the tinnie. I guess the track in suffers a bit after heavy rain? Pity its such a hike from Townsville and there doesn't seem to be any short cuts.
Will just have to make a weekend of it when I go.
Regards,
Dave.
