I cant say that I'm keen on trying them but I'm curious.
Do those cheap " bucket of bait" type plastics assortments catch fish
Yeh Yeh I know, there are times when fish will bite on anything that moves.
Has anybody bothered with em.
cheers

I have a bucket of them in my boat that I pull one or two interesting looking prawns or worms out to try. After a few minutes I never have enough confidence in them to keep trying, and put them away again. The only reason I have them is because my mother heard I use plastics, and decided they would be a good birthday present - along with a packet of swivels and sinkers which are just as useless!!Still prefer my gulps to anything else.
Scalem
Boot .... give em a go for flathead!
Nagg
Scalem ..... dont you hate that! .... but you dont want to offend mum!
they will work but they are probably best throwing into a school of tailor or something like that they will hit anything they see and it won't costr as much as like 5 packets of gulp.

keechie
i pick out the grubs and they catch flatties

My little boy got a bucket of those off his Grandma. We picked out the long worms with big flat paddle tails and attached them to spinnerbaits for bass.
There's some fairly decent looking lures in that bucket.
A lot of people are commenting on using them for flatties, I'd say there spot on.
Some of them are a little crazy looking though.![]()
I bought afew packets of assorted ones off Ebay awhile back. They look interesting enough though and I figure that if ti's in the water making waves, and leaving a scent trail form tuna oil or aniseed you have to be in with a shot. Sometimes fish will hit any disturbance so I say why not a cheap placcy too
. That said, I am a bit like Scalem and pull them out after 5 minutes of trying![]()
Flatties will eat them....they will eat anything.![]()

Flatties and pike. Always good to have a few different types to try, some days pike will hit anything and other days only the one, so variety (especially cheap variety) is good.

Fishing for the thrill, not for the kill
Hmm.....If I see a bucket going cheap, I might grab one.......I supose they could be used where my good plastics would be waisted.
