It looks like a comfy seat in pic 4........
They be some big bullies. It's not just because of the polution that people dont swim in the brissie river.

That sure is onehelluva bully. What line, leader was used. I don't want to copy your fishing, just interested in what was used to haul it in.Did you use a live animal....... ...... for bait??

Why kill such a creature?
Cheers Tom
What a monster,
Make mental note - NO more water skiing or tubing in the Brisbane river fullstop!!
Oh yeah and gummybusta, agree with you.
Cheers Ryan.
Must have made lots of good crab bait when it was thrown back in .
Yeh probly fed a few larger bullies..
Definately not swimming up there hey.
That sucker would of taken some work to get it I bet
?
Impressive catch. Shame if it died during the fight. I have to agree with tailorboi though. What a waste. So what if its legal, that doesnt make it ok and if thats your only argument then you and people like you are the reason no one will be allowed to fish at all in years to come.
Pure Moron mentality. Lets just kill everything because we can. Shame there arent more sharks eating people to even out the score
get off his back you idiots!
i know the guy who caught this and it was in a competition, he didnt expect to catch anything that big so he didnt have measures of weighing it alive. Give him a break he actually releases about 95% of his sharks.
its a great catch and get off his back it is legal to keep it and he did what is legal.
It is a great catch and a great effort. And I'm glad he releases the majority. Thanks for letting us know Tom.
It is still a shame for that one shark. Competition or not. I do congratulate him on his skills to land the monster
I guess there is some logic in what your saying. I dont deny someone taking home a nice squire for a feed. And all being equal, a shark, no matter the size has no more or less value than a squire.
The point I was against was the " If its not against the law its OK". Some people just don't place value on a life thats not their own I guess.
Please answer me this. If a Dolphin was not protected would you kill it for fun or food? By your logic it would be morally ok, as long as the law didn't forbid it.
If that shark was cut into fillets and shared amongst friends then I would see that as OK, as long as it wasn't let go to waste.
I apologise if my previous threads were a little full on, I have just seen way to many animals get killed for no good reason.
Need a bigger brag mat? Anyone who can land a shark of that size sure has some stamina. I also see nothing wrong with someone killing something for the right reasons. It isn't like he cut the fins off for soup and threw the rest back in the water still trying to swim. I happen to like fresh shark fillets too. I wish everyone would stop trying to be so negative on this site. If you haven't got anything possitive to contribute to a thread then keep it to yourselves. No wonder people are aprehensive about posting up a report these days.
