    i think its around the warmer months, sand flats, livies or sp's. they should be pretty much anwhere atm.

    they can show up anywhere at anytime mate. Like cam said, sand flats are the go, try flats that are exposed at low tide, and fill with water on high tide, then wait until there is about 30cm of water with the tide still coming in, and they should start coming onto the bank for a look around.

    anywhere where there is a bit of bait hanging around on the flats the flatties will surely be there.

    on the edge of the sandflats/dropoffs. My best catches (by numbers) have always been at night

    I saw a presentaton by nugget once and his video (might still get it on his website) shows that flatties are much more active at night. However you put a lure in front of one and they will likely take it, day or night. Also, if you are fishing sand banks, fish around structure, such as drop offs, weed bed and coffee rock etc.
