    Thanks Wayne, I really wasn't after your secret spot, mate, just there was an older gentleman heading out whiting fishing, as I was coming in at about 1am on Thursday night or Friday morning I guess it was. I don't know how old you are but I thought to myself, I hope I'm doing that when I'm 80+ odd years old. Getting a tinny into the water and going off fishing by myself at 1am, at that age is some thing to be admired. I'm struggling at 47, so I butter start getting fit.

    I bet those whiting pull hard mate.

    No good, We were after Mangrove Jack and tides were to big and the wrong time anyway. But had a laugh.

    hi wayne nice fish there mate.i was up the nerang (between Chevron Isalnd and the Chambers) last night and got 26 nice whitting from 28cm to 37cm and 3 big grunter. I remember you when you use to fish for MArburg a long time ago when i use to fish for Aberdare.

    very nice ones
    here is one of 12 what i get few night ago
    biggest one was 53 and smallest one was 42 had 5 over 50cm and rest was between 42 and 48 cm
    that a are very nice to eat when they are big and plenty to eat too
    and lot of fun too
    they fit like bill fish on light gear i having so much fun i do sometimes revising me tiny on them
    .
    i have to take camera next time and take some good photos and add tham to me album

    Hey No Luck are your whiting "king george " cause i think I'd have a heart attack if i seen a decent photo of a 53cm summer whiting even a 48cm .

    i always waiting down on gold coast QLD and far as i know there is no king george down here

    mate of my got one was 55 cm
    mate u should see the size of it
    they got big dark lips it just show how old they are
