hey guys im gonna hit the goldie tomorrow to practice to the easter series...before i bream tho i thoguht i might have a crack the trevally...can anyone direct me to any good places to hit them up?also what style of fishing to get them?i assume maunly poppers and small metal slices?
hi try the sea way and some canals try using plastics like, : Gulp shrimp, worms, minnows flickbaits these will all account for many fish either you will get bream or trevally even flathead goodluck and i hope you do well in the summer series.
Mate we get a few in the canals near the casino and all they way along to bond uni. Also in the canals up stream of the bundall st bridge always get's a few GT's.
Oh and we use predatek minmin's and micromullet alot of the time and they account for most of the fish.

I was down at the seaway tuesday night and was smoked by something that took me under the pipeline. 1st cast with a softy towards the top of the tide. There was a lot of activity throught the bait fish just east of the pipeline. I think a livie out in that area would produce a good feed. With the trevs, I think the water temp needs to drop a little.
If you are down tweed way try drifting either side of the run in / run out tide behind the hospital with live whiting for bait.(legal size of course!) If you stick to the sandy bank opposite the hospital you should get some action. Weve caught some bigguns to around 75cm and always get the odd unstoppable one that runs you round the marker buoy. Well, I fish the Sand Pumping Jetty alot and I've caught these specimens on peeled prawn down near the pylons, around 50 Silver Trevally, 2 Golden Trevally and 1 GT.
