I am only fairley new to crabbing & have just bought some new round pots. Some child of unmarried parents decided they had a greater need of my old rectangler ones than I did.
In the rectangler ones the bait bag is attached to one of the top supporting frames.
How you attach it to the round pots?

I usually use bait clips and attach them to the bottom of the pot around the centre cross.
Just cable tie your bait bag to the base of the net in the centre of the pot. That way the crabs will have to climb into the pots.

Make a bait bag out of gutter guard then attach via bait clip.

How sweet would it be setting out 10+ pots. Then you haul them in and it'd kinda feel like you're a commercial crab fisherman.
They're pretty cheap.

What me and my dad do is get them clips and those bags made from the gutter-lining stuf that stops them getting cloged. Put your prefered bait in the bags and clip them in the bottem of the pot near the middle, drop them and wait a while and enjoy.

Its a worry, thats the easy way anyway although it still must cost you a frotune for all of the plastique explosive that you use and dont be surprised if you get investergated by some antyterroist organisation thinking that your working for jehard or something.
