Took a friend out on sunday who has been ill lately,so the decision was made to fish sortof landbased as he cant really sit in the boat for too lon yet..We motored out to an exposed sandbank at low tide somewhere in the pin area.Because of the wind we couldnt cast to the shallow reef nearby. We fished the dropoff of the sandbank .He used fresh yabbies and had a ball on bream and small trevors.I decided to to try my luck with my barra lures which in my theory would get me some flatties or even a jack.None of these ,but much to my surprise after two hours of casting up and down this fella popped up.After a bit of a struggle he subdued and came in at 43 cms.You couldnt wipe the grin off my face for the rest of the day i tell ya.All in all a nice day with the kids having a mudfight in the shallows for a few hours while we fished.
cheers
George
