    Good honest report. Thanks Deano.

I'm headed up this Thursday and - you guessed it - SE winds and cooler weather are forecast!! Oh well, my casting arm needs some excercise!

we arrived saturday and also struggled. got 1 fish at 10am in bird bay on a small placcy and another late in the arvo on a K barra bait ofk one of the points in the basin. no other interest. fished for a few hours sunday morn for nil. still great to be out on the water and on the upside the fish were caught by the newbie, so it made for a happy boat

cheers pete , hope you have a fat time, you to fish on....a few beers after a frustrating day certainly fixes that arm, and makes you think about the best plan for the next session..enjoy...deano.

    I was there Saturday too.

Cast around little C and the bays a bit further up for zippo after 2 hours of casting. Made a move to B and the new flooded ground of Takilberan creek on the edge of the old chanel and new flats. Third cast and the deckie hooks up to a mid 90's acrobat but straightens the hooks trying to stop it. Sweet! we've found active fish.............. Bap-bow........ other 3 hours casting for nothing.

Well, thank god it was the green deckie that dropped it and my thousand should be up by next time I go. Hopefully I'll be the butthole saying "shouldvebeenerelastweekendmate" one of these days and recount my story of "we got 14 in four hours" to the long faces at the boat ramp the next day.

Hi Great report Deano it was tough at Awoonga on the wknd as well with waves
and wind scaring many from crossing the bay. The current was like an ocean - something to see, even at 8am!!!!! Many boats under 4m didn't venture far.

Funny the "you should have been here last week" was also mentioned ha.

Thanks for the report. Cheers Kel & Lyndon.

    Thanks for the update Deano,
Not the best fishing mate but sure beats work eh!
Hope to be up there on the 10th for a week and may give Awoonga a bash for a day.

    Cheers Les
