this is suspose to be a free country,if theres problems with a business then by all means put it on here for all to see so we then don"t get caught if the people {business} dont think that they are wrong they are free to have a say like others .i was jibbed before christmas by a marine shop in melbourne starting with "m". spoke to him on phone the product was advertised wrong but im still out of pocket he wont take it back .so when all you whingers get caught you"s will be first to sit down and blubber then you cry wolf , <if they"r wrong bag them> that"s my say. robbo this forum is for every one to have a say

I don't have a problem with people airing their bad experiences with a business when they are substatiated with facts. As a small business operator I will do my absolute best to make sure every customer that walks out my door is as happy as can be and if they aren't I will do my best to make them happy, within reason of course. Thats just good business practice.
However recently there has been numerous threads about how every major marine retail on the northside of brisbane is going to go broke. We are all aware that Sundown has stopped trading but I don't think we will know all the facts in why they stopped trading for a long time. It certainly wasn't because the marine industry is slow and not many boats are being sold, far from it.
Perhaps a system could be put in place similar to the thanks system to report unsubstantiated attacks on businesses and rumors that can damage a business. I know ou can report a post but if everyone starts hitting the report button the mods would be flooded with PMs etc. Using a 'No Thanks' system should help self moderation of these forums.
