    Cania

    Hi All

I'm just wondering if anyone has fished Cania since the second rise in water level (12%) Apparently it was fishing OK after it rose 1M earlier in the year? ...... but in the last couple of weeks it must have gone up by a few meters ...... & nothing much has been said.
We might do a day trip there in the next couple of weeks to try to crack one of those big Toga

Geez, you must be keen for a toga.

Awoonga sounds a better option, especially if your coming all the way up from the deeeep south to catch something big

If your talking about the slow fishing at the comp.. well are you really surprised? Hundreds of boats on the dam at once... If you havent noticed, that does shut the fish down....
Before the comp it was great fishing..

The islands are all under now.. havent seen that Cania for a while..

    anyway cheers barra

    Re: Cania

nagg, as barra says, the fishing was pretty slow for cania. the majority of fish were caught on bait - they weren't very interested in chasing lures. i personally got about a dozen bass using worms fishing the grassy edges. incredibly only a handful of yellows were caught and absolutely nil silvers.

Hi there, Awoonga was fishing pretty well. Billy a 78 year old lady won the Champion Angler for the No Blokes Barra Bash - what an effort, all the girls were rapped that she took out that title and the huge trophy. If you guys are in Biloela, go to Creek to Coast and check out the trophy that Billy won - top effort !! We can't wait til next year to meet up with all the girls again !! Bring it on !!
