Question Info/advice wanted on old but mint reels.

Hi guys, looking for some information and/or advice on two old but seemingly mint condition reels inherited from a family clean-up. We think these reels might be about 30 years old. One is a Penn 6/0 senator still in cardboard box with oil, book, and a little plastic bag of accesssories.

The other is a Daiwa Millionaire 6H sitting in a hard plastic box with all accessories new and intact, and then encased in a brown cardboard sleeve. We have had differing advice as to the value of these and were hoping to find some more information. All help appreciated.

    Joy

After seeing a Seamartin in reasonable used condition (timber body) go for over $1000 about a year ago on Ebay I would not try to put a price on them. I would put them on Ebay for the longest period possible in the collectors and antiques as unused mint conditon items. Let the market decide the pricing. If you want to keep them put them away safe and forget about them for the next 50 years and then see what the market is willing to pay.

Yeah joyful, welcome to Ausfish BTW, check Ebay it will give you the going rate.
The Senator should get you a bit better than $100 IMO, I'd guess $150 or so in that condition, the Senators are quite well sought after, they are still a good reel to use. The older ones are designed to allow the drag to be serviced by simply removing the handle, a very handy feature which saves a more comprehensive dissassembly.
Can't comment on the Daiwa, no doubt a nice reel however.
Type Senator and Daiwa Millionaire into Ebay and particulary Ebay USA to gain a better idea of what they will bring.
    Cheers.
