    Catchin' Squid

    G'day !

Could anyone tell me where in Moreton Bay I can catch some Squid ?
I'm not asking for any of your areas , just a bit of a clue where to start.
I can't wait to see my kids face when they pull 'ol Squidy from the depths and he gets cranky .

we catch squid off the jetty at manly at night.

Squid tend to hang around bright lights or weed beds

During winter the Manly Jetty and rock walls in the area produce a few. The most consistant area is over near the Amity and Wanga Wallen Banks.

My girls picked up these few in about 20 mins a few weeks ago

Have got some good ones in the Rouse channel just near the bend where the green beacons turn left to the red ones east bound (if that makes sense)

Between Cowan and Bulwer drifting over the weedbeds always produces a good feed of squid and often something will grab the first squid caught once it has a pair of 6/0 hooks in it.

Amitty and Dunwich, even during the day. Try rock walls and jetties over the rubble patches as well as the weed banks
