    Jacks still getting BIGGER 66cm!!!

Went back to spot x two night after i got my 64cm jack tryed plastics for a few hours with only a few flatehead being caught was a bit slow, luckly my mate brought the live bait rods along cause decided to go get some live mullet the only mullet we could cast net were horses around 25cm -30cm long got back to the spot set up the abu 6500 loaded with 20 pound braid and 25 pound leader armed with a big sinker to keep in on the bottom cause the tide was pushing in hard, i got aboslutly smoked in a matter of seconds didnt even have time to give him some, shit only 3 mullet left now my mate deployed his big bait down took about 10 mins and the abu was screeming i have never seen someone run as fast as he did to pick his rod up the jack had allready gained a few metres on him so he gave the fish all he had and after a lot of big tail pumping and strong burst for the pylon he pulled him out of the danger zone, the big jacks sure know how to use there weight down deep in the current cause they dont give up easy, i ran down and grabed the fish before he spat the hook put him on the brag mat and was 66cm long noooooo you beat me by 2 cm i was jealous this time cause i thought my 64cm was going to hold the record oh well few pics and he was released unharmed no more hits on the mullet after that fish, so we packed up and went home.

Bloody nice jack mate, I've only caught a couple like that myself. Is that frost on the grass in the background? Maybe just dew. Early morning then! Good on ya's . Dont feel to bad about your mate getting it, it's great just to see a stonker of a jack landed like that. Ben Thanks

it's a big one, but if you keep on feeding this pet jack of yours, it will turn into a horse and out grow your tank in the background..... ;0)

JE your turning into a fishing journalist, the posts are getting better with the fish. Good stuff, mate. I might have to get out there again. Pop the GPS marks in a pm for me, I'll keep them to myself, we don't want every man and his dog there

    Thanks in advance

    Your mate DIDLEY
