battery and sounder
would a low battery cause my lowrance sounder t play up what i mean is all the menu works but some times will not read bottom or temp with the meter it reads 11.7 volts sorry to ask but trying to decide if sounder is dying or the battery to low .it is a lowrance x91 just though if menu was working everything should work meaning faulty sounder

The unit should work fine with that voltage...try checking the transducer connection at the rear of the unit....may be loose or corroded. Also with the unit runnig place your hand against the botton of the transducer.....you should feel it pinging, you may hear it as well.

Yeah plugger.....wont hurt to try the transducer out of water. When you said the bottom and the temp wont read made me think that it may be a connection problem.....if it was just the bottom not showing i would suggest adjusting the sensitivity higher or checking the depth range is set correctly.....but if it wont read the temp as well makes me think the transducer may be the problem.

will try tomorrow when i go fishing it want read at the harbour by on the way to spot x the temp will come on the depth will flash 00 then some times all of a sudden yhe temp will stop reading and the depth will start reading it is ether one or another

try charging the battery , it is possible for electronics to start to play up at that voltage so the only way is to eliminate one thing at a time .
