Blue Tuskfish
just a quick question when fishing for these fish is it possible to catch more than one in same location or is common to have to move. Do they school up.

Re: Blue Tuskfish
i reckon you have to move because i haven't caught two in the same spot but you don't have to move too far from where you were originally fishing

Re: Blue Tuskfish
you will get more in the same spot.. whilst diving we use to see a few moving about picking off the rocks and you'd see a couple around the fish cleaning station.
where we use to go fishing we would catch one after another of these, so it prob has a lot to do on location as well.

We generally just anchor on a patch of reef in the moddle of the day and generally get a good half a dozen or so of good sized blueys around Point Vernon-Gatagers Bay area. We use purple rock crabs for bait as nothing else seems to be irresistable to blueys.
