What is the best way to get your cork grips looking new again?

Have a look at this website they talk about the options of renewing a cork grip.

hope this helps.
give it a rub down with fine grit sand paper and then wipe it down with metho. Alot of blokes coat it with wax or varnish but this sought of defeat
s the purpose of using cork grips in the first place.
Bees wax is meant to be an effective way of keeping them looking new, without reducing sensitivity. Although personally I like the look of well worn cork.
I am with Fafnir, love the look of worn cork and can't wait for the new look to disappear.
Yea, they scrub up fine with a bit of metho

thanks all for the imput, i like the fact that the grips look well used but time to clean the old girls up
Try an old brillo pad, the ones with the green stuff on one side and sponge on the other, make sure its a bit used, add a bit of warm soapy water, and happy days. be careful not to scrub the reel seat or exposed rod blank
cheers

would not recommend metho other other solvents...eventually they eat out the filler leaving the grips looking terrible. as Brian mentioned above a scrub down with some detergent in warm soapy water should be enough, otherwise as also previously mentioned a light rub with fine sandpaper or scourer sponge if they are particularly dirty
