Advice on price to sell 4b

G'day All, looking at selling my old 4B since I just bought a new car, Just asking for price advice, I'm not chasing much for it, It's a '89 toyota SR5 4runner, 2.4 deisel with heaps of k's but still goes well, it has good 31"tyres on good 15x8 sunrasia rims, good bull bar with warn winch. It has some rust in rear window surounds and a tiny bit above windscreen. The front end is a bit tired and has a bit of play in steering. Any constructive advice appreciated.
    Thanks TT

Sounds like its one to inspect for yourself with what you have listed there. Personally if i was after a beacher or something this would be what i would be looking for as for price tho it would be a self assessment for the buyer.

I trade my 92 Hilux Dual Cab 4x4 2.8L in good condition and prices were from $4000 to $7000. My trade in price in the end was $4000.

I was going to suggest The Redbook website too but murph beat me to it. Current 2nd Hand value is a real eye opener. Cars are not worth a lot on the second hand market these days and come to think of it nor are boats.

As I stated earilier, I wont be chasing much, It would most likely only usefull for some parts ( near new rims, good tyres, winch and bar, snorkle ect)

The only problem i see is that you wont get a roadworthy for it so you
are just probably looking at wrecking price.
Redbook will give you the answer

    Tailertaker,

Generally, most vehicles depreciate at about 25% per annum. Your SR5 is almost

    20 years old.

Do the math. In reality, its worth nothing!!!

But if you try hard you might get $2000 - maybe $2500, if your lucky

Any more would be a miracle!!!

I'd stick $4k on it and see how you go. You'll probably struggle to get that, but it's somewhere to start.

to be honest I'm not looking at recovering much money, Probabley sell it for about $1500, mainly for the accessories on it.
