    not sure if they are a soft plastic but honey pot junior prawnstar will take some beating.Sorry honey pot is the colour and i guess you hava heard of a prawnstar. I really cant type

    yeh mate,i have just about caught cod on anything,but i'm trying to find a softy that can catch cod any time

    Sorry i edited my last post. Prawnstars will get em on the reef or in the river, anytime.I wont use them anymore for jacks because i spend most of my time unhooking cod

    I seem to do well on the Gulp 4" Lime Tiger Jerk Shads. Nuclear Chiken work too but I have had more success on the LT's.

    caught plenty of maori cod on shad type soft plastics in about 35m of water, they go off

    Hey Fatboy. Try the burkely power baits in 4" natural shrimp , i've had a 95% success rate !!!!

    As chewy said, they are all over the prawnstars (juniors for me) whilst jack fishing. the colour you choose should be relative to how clear the water is - brighter colours for murky water, more natural colours for clearer water. good luck.
