I was trying it late yesterday at Currumbin and Tallebudgera Creek without any strike. Saw few follow it back to my feet but no hook up. Are these the right places to fish them using poppers?

Try around where you see any yabbie holes and cast a fairway infront of you cause they are easily spooked.
If i could get paid the same to fish, sorry boss but i ......!
I had try that. When is the best time early morning high tide or the afternoon?
i found right at the bottom of the tide and just as it turns to come in, early morning. fish are trying to get back up on flats to feed. Took me a few sessions to nail a whiting, also caught bream and flathead in the same session and once you do, your confidence grows and so does your concentration.
fish high tide run out, this is the best time to target them because all the prawns must move off the flats into the deeper water. currumbin is awsome for whiting on poppers but if you were fishing were i think you were fishing at talli it isnt that good with most of the fish very small. th water temp has also dropped a few degrees. i have caugth my biggest whiting late afternoon when the water has been warmed by the sun
thanks all, I'll try run in & run out tide. It was at Currumbin that I saw them follow the popper into my feet.
