Fun in the Wind

Preso and I headed out yesterday after doing a abrupt right turn and ended up at the Pin after getting directions
Yes she was pretty windy, and our plan of drifting for Flatties was nie impossible.
So pumped some yabbies (havent done that for ages) puff puff
And headed to some year gone by spots and soaked a few baits and rumbos .
Great fun catching Bream, Heaps of Tarwhine, Moses Perch, Whiting and even a Big Nigger.
Plus a truck load of Butter Bream. Which a gathering of Pelican had a few as appertisers
Loss a bit of gear to some culprit, until i upgraded and then landed a 3kg Toadie, ah yes the rig destroyer.
The catch of the day, was a Pelican who took flight with a set of my gangs, stripping line as he landed on the banks and proceeded to walk inland.
Up"ed the drag and proceed to pump and wind, this was when he decided to sit down and couldnt be budged so the 2-4kg gear eventually gave in, one to the Pelican.
Vertuially had to Pin to our selves.
Not wanting to dirty the fillet knife all fish were released and such no pics.

You'll have to take some Barra casting gear and get your points back on that pelican

I know what you mean mate, I get that same thirst opening a pack of squidgee critters.( which i will be doing this weekend chasing a few bream around) Hey mate you might not of bothered cleaning those bream but if you could have landed that pelican, the oldies at the retirement hosp.would have been chewing down on some decent drumsticks

Dont we all luv this wind. I just dont hate taking the whole wave in the face and down the shirt it makes it hard to lift you arm lol. Seems i am not the only one to brave these windy swells. Sounded like fun boys oh i mean the rumbos.

Webby never ceases to amaze me with the size and variety of his catches. Only he could catch something with a bill inside the pin bar. Not only that, he wasn't trolling skirts or hard bodies, no, just a humble pilly cast in the exact spot it needed to be at the correct stage of the tide. LMFGO .

Hey mate seems that ive still got hope when your catch consists of " Pelicans "and XOS Toadies " Then again you still managed to pull one of almost all the species in that area ! Me and Mike are pretty keen for that hutchies run, maybe next week-end ? Will talk thru the week mate.
