Thanks for putting that link up Mike.Had a look at list then rang the boss up,i've now got the day off work and a shopping list.
Mick.
Good fun day out, wait all day for the item and pay 10% more than retail
Exactly jimbo from past experiences at these types of auctions the only bargain will be the saussage sizzle, went to one like this two years ago on the gold coast everything sold at least at retail rate. The starting price was around full retail on most items. Anyway lets hope I am wrong and whoever goes gets a bargain, on the other hand I hope the day becomes profitable for the administrators and the staff get paid the money they may be owed.
ooooh G Loomis Rods, drop shot combo's, anyone out there wants to bid for me. The Raymarine Sounder is up my ally?
The only bargains will be for auctioned items that are in low demand, like the shop fitout, etc.
Cough,Cough....Sniffle...er boss, i'm sick. cough,COugh,COUGH....not gunna make it to werk today....lol
Any feed back on the auction.
cheers rossco
I would have to say for me personally it was the biggest waste of time. Auctioneers taking simultaneous bids, rounding bids and people in general being willing to pay close to retail or a few times over retail with the 11% made the day pretty much a write off for me. Bargains were far and between in my eyes.
Did many people front for the auction?
I was going to go if I could get away from work early enough to have a shot at the Garmin 172c's there. They would probably have been the only thing there worth a deal on for me.
Jack.
I would have to agree with Budge! The rain must have given ALOT of people the chance to attend and continue bidding against each other pushing prices up there, not too many "bargins". Did anyone score well????
Sounds like i was lucky i forgot about it untill i got to work today. I was nearly going to knock off early to try and score some cheap tackle. All reports ive heard have been pretty similar to budge and deefa. Dont feel so bad for missing it now.
If you wish to learn more about reading and getting the most from your Lowrance units or learning more about fishing with artificial baits I will come out in the comfort of your own boat for one on one coaching. Please call for more information.
I agree with Budge and deefa66.There was 500 odd people there at 9 o'clock when i got there. The auctioneers seemed to wanna rush through it.Left about an hour after it started, wallet still intact.
