Boys will be BOYS! You were all too busy bagging ya poor ladies that not one of you actually gave the poor bloke a decent answer to his questions on bait etc - takes a woman to wade through all the b/s. to get to the truth! (so there again!) LOL SAMMY xx (no wonder santa didn't bring you a decent pressy xx)

Good on you Sammy, thanks for the info

I just love it when people go to town and critisize peoples suggestions

Mind you, this is a public forum and friendships are often made.. I am surprised that at this point no one has said to the poor guy, listen mate, I live in the area, I would be happy to take you out in my boat for the day for a fish if you chip in for fuel and bait.

Thats the way it is, and I am not Brian Henderson

          G'day!

I forgot to mention earlier that there is a lot of land based fishing that goes on within a kilometre or so of Seaworld Resort. There is the southern wall of the SeaWay, the Sand Pumping Jetty, as well as various spots on both the Broadwater and the surf side of the Spit.

Thanks everyone for you deepest, heartfelt sympathy

Ok I know there's a bait shop not to far away. I was aware that there was a sand pumping jetty and land based angling nearby.
What I don't know is if there is somewhere that hires out gear for the day. Also apart from F-heads, ting & Bream is there anything else to target land based? I can fish for any of these in PPB/Patto river (unless you're talking THUMPERS).
Otherwise a charter maybe my best option which Frenzy has been mentioned and some guy called "Smithy". I just hope there aren't 2 many Smithy's up there and I can find him .

The last option would be a kind hearted soul to take me out but I think I'll leave asking this until closer to the date and in the appropriate forum (meeting place).

Oh another option would be to smuggle a hand line into Seaworld and try my luck. If that doesn't work I could always use it as a leash on the kids
