    Monduran Update

We only seem to report our successes but not our failures. This results in every man & his dog turning up on the dam expecting to "fill the boat" This is a quote that l saw on another post so here goes The Barra and Basstastic Comp was on the Weekend at Monduran ... Barra was the target spieces...Water level 18% and slowly rising ... Water Temp from 28c to 30 c First session only one Barra boated in the comp... Afternoon session a bit better two fish recorded.. On to Sunday l think one more was caught ... the biggest fish of the Comp about a 96... The winner caught two fish....Me ? not a hit all weekend

Appreciate the honesty of your report Awoonga.

It can be a tough place to fish if the barra decide not to come out to play!

Maybe you should give Lenthalls a try Trev

I am getting the bug for barra and in need of a trip north. Monduran will be the place as Awoonga weedbeds do my head in a bit, I need timber!!

Maybe I can bring some rain up as to be honest, the stuff is really starting to get a bit old down here. Went right up top of the Clarence yesterday to find some clean water for Bass with little luck. Had about 4 inches at home while I was up there over 4 hours with no more than a handfull of days in the last month without rain of some sort. Maybe we could organize a swap

    Yestrday on the Clarence River.

Hi trev , yes we all tried our hardest on the weekend , the only barra we hooked up on was at the cattle yards then took us for a ride through the trees after 10mins getting her out and to the side of the boat she dived once more around a lonesome stump directly under us in 8m of water then she was gone.....so the next round is at awoonga which is your backyard so lets see what happens next...happy fishing
