    Noosa Nth Shore Trip

Heading up to Noosa north shore this week.for the first time . What's the beach like after the stormy weather and big tides ? Any good places to fish around the river mouth or the beach . Any info would be appreciated.

Hey Jimmy, I was up there over the Oz day weekend for 4 days.

The beach from the cuttings up to Teewah has a fair bit of coffee rock exposed and I'd suggest only travelling a couple of hours either side of low tide, after Teewah it's all good and aside from an hour either side of high tide you can get around pretty well.
The water was still pretty dirty right up to DI and standing in knee deep water you couldn't see your feet. There are heaps of pippies about and more worms than you can poke a stick at so there's plenty of bait.
Fishing wise it was too windy and rough to fish the surf but things may have improved a bit by now. Might be worth a try round the river mouth.

    Enjoy your trip

I was there just yesterday. There was still a fair bit of surf but we did fish. Only caught some small dart and a shovel nose shark. As for camping we camped about 13km's south of the freshwater track in the Teewah beech camping area. All I can say is "What a top spot!!!" . Just remember to take your repellant as the March flies are bad.
Also there are hot showers up at the Freshwater camping area. It costs $1 for a 5 min of hot water.

Hey Jimmy, we camped a few k's south of Red canyon. There is some timber fencing at the base of the dunes.

It's a pretty good site and pretty big as well. The missus and I have three active kids so we need a fair area.

Cosmo's right the march flies are about, just take your bushman repellant

    Enjoy - Craig

Couple of pics from this morning south of Teewah.
Aussie Stu from Wide A Wake Tackle in the Landy wondering whether he's going to be able to find any worms under all the foam and also where the rocks are hidden.
