Re: Dolphine fish in the bay
There was a recent thread about this and from memory a few people have heard of some dollies being caught and a few reported sightings in the eastern bay inside the northern end of moreton. Quite a few years ago though.
I've never heard of it outside of that thread and would think that they would rarely visit the bay.

Dollies are pelagic oceanic and never heard of being ventured into the bay as such, mostly around the FADS or when trolling for other pelagics you'll catch them.

Hutchinsons shoal or around Flinders reef is as close as I have heard of them.

Yes I caught a couple small(but legal) ones, one morning at the 4 Beacons on livies,( many years ago) never seen them before and never again , it was just after a big blow similiar to the recent weather, I definately wouldnt bother targeting them in the bay.

We have also caught small, legal dollies off the beacons inside the northern bay, only once and it was a few years back, might have been the same time as beastmaster??
