Family friendly?
Can you leave your boat moored of the beach?
I am looking to take the family up there in June July tihs year.
Whats the fishing like at that time of year? 19ft fibreglass, so should be able to get to the reefs if the weather is kind.
Mate, you will love it. Yes you can leave the boat straight out from camp, dont think you will have any trouble in that size boat that time of year and the fishing i will leave to some one else who knows more than me abot the area. Try and get a front site on the water, means you can have a fire, amenities are clean and good, fish ceaning table, and jhust a short stroll to the tree for a cold beer!
i will be up there myself that time of year also. normally book site a1 or a2. see you there

Its great, really casual and and laid back big time, the whole area is a great experience, out to the lighthouse on the arc and fishing at deepwater, its unreal plus is loaded with history, Captn Cook landed right near the camp grounds.
Go camping at 1770 3/4 times a year Love it. The area is nice and peacefull camping grounds right in front of protected bay. Winter the weather is usually pretty good, and the off-shore fishing is spot on, just read some of the offshore reports. Yes you can leave your boat in the bay as long as you have right chain and sand anchour. All the ameneties are in good ordered, with a larage tackle shop and shopping centre over at Agness which is 7ks away. Take the family up mate you will have a ball. POLKY.

OK we are camping at 1770 for a week between 5th and12th July - Site A2 at the 1770 Camping Ground.
If you are in the area drop in for a complimentary home brew (might be safer to BYO). You can't miss us, older Cruise Craft 570 in bright yellow - the "Kelpie" used as a mobile cubby house for the three daughters.
Very new to the area and keen to team up for a trip to the Fitzroy bommies. 36NM is stretching my comfort zone to travel safely with family.
