What bites in Bowen??
Hi all,
Heading up to Bowen in a couple of weeks and was wondering what to expect. Got two weeks up there, will be taking a 6m Haines and also have access to a boat to fish in the creeks/ dams if the weather doesn't play the game. Was just wondering what to expect, hope to be spending most of my time on the offshore reefs, so just keen to know whats biting.... If you want to give me your you beaut, never fail GPS marks by PM, or even a good place to start looking, I will keep them to myself.
Cheers
Shane

A lot of the locals do
he he he
From the posts you see on here, Jacks are pretty common as are Bream, Grunter, Cod, Whiting, Flathead, etc. You'll also get Barra, Threadies, etc as well. Heading out wide will get you into all the tropical species. There's a few people from around that neck of the woods on here that should be able to help out.
