    Re: noosa offshore

Hi Fish_on, mate are you up at Noosa for a while??? I am heading up there for a few days from tuesday morning and hoping to get outside a few times. How is the bar at the moment, is there much water on it??? Was there any action on the surface fish??? When you say you are fishing North reef are you wider than 50m or in a bit closer??? Sorry for all the questions but just trying to prepare at the moment.
    Thanks
    Lee

    Re: noosa offshore

the bar is always crap but we went out on low tide with enough water. there was a little swell rollin on the bar but you have to head out parallel along the north shore. just sit back and watch it for a while lee. up at north reef in line with teawah sitting in about 50m. find a little bump or two and sit on it. no surface action at all which was a bit sad. had 2 floaters out all morning plus plastic action didnt loose a bait. all fish came off the bottom. dirty water still in close pete. stopped on the way back on a small patch right on the dirty water line. got only undersize fish

    Re: noosa offshore

Hey guys, we are currently up at noosa as well, we went out today to check out sunshine reef, once we crossed the bar it was crap all the way, not many boats out, I think we saw Any_Weather out, will post a full report once back in bris. We have been here 2 weeks and no surface fish, and havent heard of anyone else getting any either, they must all be on strike.

    Re: noosa offshore

Went out Monday for a troll in the hope of spaniards or spotties like this time last year. Nothing all morning after trolling every mark i have at Sunshine, then travelled into Jew Shoal. Some good shows on the sounder, with bait and bigger individual fish. Last turn we hooked up big time. Very disappointed with the result. Hopefully better luck over the next few weekends.
