    Mud Is Australia Day

Well we decided to go out to mud for an evening session, left from Whyte Isalnd. There was a bit of swell and wind around, but we decided to make the dash for the lee side of Mud anyway. Was the first time I have had out Savage 485 CC out in a blow, and it handled it quite well.

As for the fishing, well it wasnt too flash
A few undersize grass sweetlip, and this ugly critter. It felt stange on the line, no real fighting, just felt like a chunk of coral. What the hell is it?
Also tried the eastern side briefly, but no intrest there, and the mrs wasnt too keen on the lumpy swell, so back to the northern side

It's a puffer fish that can inflate himself to balloon size when stressed, Obviously quite happy to have his ugly mug photographed

That would never happen to a plastics fisho.
As already stated it is a puffer fish but that particular one is known as a porcupine puffer in the aquarium world.
