Christened my Swizzlestik

After finally taking delivery of my HOTRODS Swizzlestik early in the new year I finally got a chance tonight to test her out.
Had a couple of exploratory casts as you do, and on the third cast I decided I would work the lure the whole way to the bank. With only about 10m of line out I had a little touch and a smallish fish powered away - I was in a state of disbelief - considering where I was fishing and the fact it was only the third hit I had had at this location.
The rod handled the fish beautifully and I managed to coax a 34cm Callop to the bank. To say I was stoked was an understatement - third cast with the new rod and I had my first fish. I called Perrie straight away to tell him of my success and after only a few more casts I packed the rod up and went home contented.

Absolutely magical rod, and can't wait to get a really good size Callop on it!!

All you need to do now Nathan is christen it with one of those big SA cod.

@ rossco - that was the plan until she snapped on me yesterday - was not impressed, but I have spoken with Perrie (the guy who made it) and it will cost me less than half to have it rebuilt - i was so impressed by the rod I'm getting it rebuilt, as well as getting him to make me a Cod rod to..
