Thermally fused braid. In other words heated to a point where the fibres bond together no polymer is used to bond it only heat thats why UV affects it badly. Dyneema is dyneema. It is the worlds strongest fibre. Used by police and armed forces in bullet protection clothing and armor. Check this site out http://www.dsm.com/en_US/html/hpf/home_dyneema.htm give it a read and see if you change over to straight dyneema braid. You will notice the difference.

Not to be picky here ... but Dyneema is used in both thermally fused & the twisted stuff ( along with DSMs major competitor .... Spectra by Honeywell
some thermal braids definitely use a polymer to encapsulate the fibres ( Fins for one)
