windy day on the tweed
went for a quickey yesterday with a mate and got a few fish and a nice golden trevally but only went for a few hours.
hit the tweed up today again with a mate and straight of in the morning we started smacking the fish around the sand flats as the tide grew higher aand higher. it was pritty wind and the extra chop on the water made the fish alot less spooky and they just harrerd our jackal shallow chubbies and bassday lures.
most of the fish were small but it was a fish every cast which were also followed by alot of his fishy friends.
the wind ended up to get to intense so we went straight to the canals.
the fish in the canals were also going nuts but we had to go to lighter gear to catch them at a good rate.
i was using 1lb fireline and 3lb leader while a mate just used 2lb fluro straight through.
all the fish seemed to be the same size from 25cm to 29cm no bigger and no smaller.
dylan had a monster flathead over 80cm eat his bream he had while teabaging the lure over a rope.
but 80cm flathead and 2lb leader dont mix so good bye chubbie!
at that ver same pontoon a big bream came and ate my bassday and busted me of after a 20m run out to the middle. (bloody thing came straight out of the pontoon and just went around and around an bouy.
got a few more fish in the canals and called it quits around lunch.
had 5 bream in the well from 27 to 30cm.
mostly small fish today but the amount or fish was amazing!!
just great fun on the light stuff and just good to be on the water
dylan could not keep the rat bream away from his lure landing 23 bream under 25cm and only 2 26cm hahaaha was pritty funny.

Nice Fish
Do you find the Goldens fight harder than the other trevors? And nice work on light string.
Was Dylan the bloke that fished with us that day at the Tweed?

Re: windy day on the tweed
i use sunline rock fish leader nugg and when the water is super clear you will find that you have to go down that light.
its awsome fum when you hook a big bream on the flats with light line they go like a trevally!
chris dylan was the guy who came fishing that day.
oh i forgot to say dylan caught his pb flattie at 60 1/2 cm beat his old pb by 1/2 a cm haha
he is yet to send me the pic though i will post it as soon as he does
