what has having a permit have to do with big schlongs like you parking in the way, if everyone did the right thing no one would have to bitch.
Just remember your comment next time you bitch because someone does something to irratate you and by the way ive held multiple yearly passes for the hinze, and sip dams for quite a few years now.
With people as bright as you mate the world is so better off

At western ramp today. It is getting very eroded.
I sent email to Gold Coast Council as i could not find how to contact Hinze Dam Alliance.
I suggested no parking signs in turning areas both ramps and also requested some work to be done on access track for western ramp.
Also if possible some additional parking places and a couple of passing zones.

do happen and next time they will park properly by the way we have never bitched on this site about anything before and also would not bother fishing hinze until it has better facilitys to park and launch your boat from there are lots of other places to fish around the gold coast where you dont have this hassle when i do fish hinze i always purchase my permit from nerang tackle sorry if i raised your hackles with my comments earlyer regards jas

I enjoy my Bass fishing and used to fish Lake Sampsonvale until low water levels stopped boating access. I now fish Hinze and Baroon Pocket most of the time as they are within an hour or so from where I live.
I am not as fit or young as I used to be and I must admit I get riled up by other peoples uncaring attitude..I dont mind a walk if a parking area is full but having to disconnect a loaded trailer from my car to turn the trailer and car around is beyond my physical capacity so I am faced with having to reverse all the way up the hill.
I normally do not fish of a weekend to avoid ramp congestion but sometimes I take mates who are still working .
If I dont get a response from the council my mate and I will take a mattock and axe down there and knock over a few dead saplings in a couple of spots.

This morning i got a phone call from Laurie the head ranger at Hinze dam.He said he only just got my email that I sent over a month ago.
The bad news is that due to budgetry restraints he is only allowed to perform emergency work only so nothing is going to happen.
I asked him why he just couldnt remove the no parking sogns in the turning areas from old ramps and he said they do not comply with standards so it would be illegal to move them.
Similarly he has no money to grade and clear the track to the western ramp.
He said that there is a meeting of the fish management committee on Wednesday night and he will put the matter to them and as there are elections pending maybe one of the local councilers may be shamed into spending some money in their electorate.
He said that at the end of this month the Alliance is going to commence construction of the new ramp which will have a large parking area.

You'll be pleased to know that the fish management committee last night approved funds be spent to repair the western ramp. And no, there were no councillors present at the meeting! The management committee has no political motives, we just try to take care of the fish and stocking the dam.

I once had an instance where a party of people were swimming dogs and washing clothes in the only fresh water spring for miles. After a sign was written on the top of a 44 gallon drum and posted near the water the problem stopped immediately. What was painted on the sign is my business but it worked.
The crew concerned kept right away from me and the water.
I can't understand why you people put up with this parking rot.
