    Southport Seaway

Amanda and I took my dad out for a session in the seaway today, we flicked plastics while my dad used his stinky prawns & mullet. Amanda managed her new PB squire of 46cm, i got a smaller squire at 38cm & the only thing dad caught on his bait was a 42cm flattie.
Once again the plastics outfished the bait...When will dad learn that stinky bait is only good for putting in enemies letter boxes.

    Cheers Tim

Hi Tim, Good to see Amanda with a new PB squire.
You folks did better than us today we only just gathered up a small feed of squire and sweetlip.
Don't know why the bay is so quiet!!!!
February they should start to fire up going by last years efforts in the bay.
We will have to get together for another fish soon mate.
    Still waiting for the Macs!!!
    Cheers Brent

Nice fish Amanda and a new PB to boot

It is suprising how hard it is to grab a feed at the moment so you did well

Some nice fish there mate - what sized jig heads work well in the seaway and is it only really fishable on/around the tide changes?

Good to see your partner even beating the old smelly stuff. I took my wife to goat at chrissy in 25 notts and rain and shes not in any hurry to come out again. Cheers good catch.

Captain Stabin/sid_fishes/1337 - Jig heads used were TT,I used 1/4oz with a 2/0h hook and Amanda used a 3/8oz with a 2/0h hook,Both squire were caught on the run in tide

Brent - Cant wait for the mack's and tuna to show up,Whenever your keen for a session let me know

Matt - Hope you had fun today cleaning your yard (MTFU)

Horse - Her old PB squire was 45cm so she was happy it went an extra cm

chief - Always willing to help fellow ausfishers use up there old bait

ddobson - Mate my missus loves fishing,She actually bought the boat (4.1 poly,40 hp yammie,Minn kota bowmount) It hardly phases her fishing in the rain or rough weather
