I have the Humminbird 757 c combo sounder/gps and find it easy to navigate around.
This is the second sounder i have owned, the first one was a lowrance x52 and i found it also easy to use but it only came with continuous mucking around with the unit. The humminbird to me is easier to understand though IMO.

I've only ownwed 1 sounder, a Lowrance X125. It has been run on Auto from day one with detail & resolution excellent. No complaints so far but it's only been a year. See as though I paid $390 I don't think I would have got a better soounder for the money. I think it depends on how much you have got to spend!!!

I had the Humminbird 97X on the previous boat and Navman 8084 on the current boat..both easy toread in any light..both have dual frequencies and no problems with either once you remember where all the menus are.
