    castnet on pine

Took my kids out for a paddle in the pine river on the kayak Santa bought them yesterday pm .Pulled up on the bank for them to rest and decided to throw the cast net a few times (fancy having that with me ). Besides the poddy mullet, was lucky enough to pull in 38cm bream, 48cm luderick ,and my maiden jack! (36cm)
I know that none of this counts, but just how tinny is that.
P.S. absolutely wrecked the net on the snags. Guess I desrved that.

    Unbelievable!

That's the second report of a jack from the Pine lately.

Is the water looking any better yet? Also, if you don't mind, which end of the Pine, towards the mouth or further up?

Good work to find them even if the tackle was a little unusual.

Much further up. No the Water looked very murky The three fish were in three different spots, with lots of timber on the bottom but quite clear on the banks.

Dave I think it is fair to say that there was quite a bit of activity, and that I didnt have that many casts with the net and it seemed that every throw was likely to be productive
