Whilst it might seem like going backwards, I made the decision late last year to sell our Cruisecraft (almost new Explorer 500) to go back to a tinny that I can handle myself and use up the creeks and dams around Mackay/Sarina area.
Was a sad day to see the Cruisecraft on the back of another vehicle being towed away it allows me to get (hopefully) something that suits my situation and allows more time and opportunities to fish.
Made a decision to purchase a Seajay 4.35 Escape CX. Should be powered by a Yamaha 40hp electric start, trim/tilt and minnkota on the bow.
Looks like this one http://www.seajayboats.com.au/escapecx.html#
My wife doesn't like it offshore and I respect her for that. So the decision to go back to a tinny (but a nice one at that) should give some more time on the water rather than waiting for the "once a year" weekends when the water is as flat as.
