Hervey Bay M&G

I am proposing a bit of a get together in Hervey Bay in early March. It should still be warm enough to have a good variety of species available but with the weather a little more settled. Species on tap range from Barra to Reds. Pelagics and Reefies should be biting their heads off

I am thinking that the weekend of the 7-9th of March with the new moon on the 8th and Urangan tides showing a 9.01am high. Sounds pretty good to me but locals might have a better option (there is a local fishing comp on around then each year and a clash may make it a bit crowded )

We can work out all of the details after we get an idea of who intends to drop by.

Open to suggestions regarding venue, accommodation and M&G format

The Hervey Bay Family fishing comp is on that weekend. We can go one or two weeks earlier ie Feb 22-24 or 29-2nd or put it back to the 14-16th March. Any preferances?

jump on fishntales website for monthly m&gs, every1 is welcome, mayb plan around one of those so everyone can catch up?
the moons do fish well at times and in certain areas, but neap tides are easier to fish if u plan on fishing the arty or any other shallowish reef system. Quite a few of the fishntales crew will be tied up with the fishing comp, but it generally means 4 days of non stop fishing whatever the weather
