Hi all been away for a bit but back on board now
Can I get any info on Northwest Island going up in October for 15 days party of 30 or so going up ,not been there before myself but going up with people that have, dont know to much about the Island but looking forward to some extreme fishing, so any info wil help me get ready for the trip,pics would be great to see what Im to expect,and if anyone has some great GPS marks for around there please let me know.

what sort of boats are going mate? I live in Gladstone and frequent the reefs around NW. Generally, if you stick to Douglas shoals, Johnsons patch etc you will clean up. Reds are in 25mtrs+ and you will find parrot anywhere. Red throat are around the corals and lippa can show in any depth. Trout are in the same areas as the red throat. Best using a very light weighted pillie on gangs or no weight at all. Let it drift towards the coral. 1 hour either side of high or low tide is best with the ultimate for reds being 2 hours before the high. Reds love ledges and lumps.
Anywhere up there at the right tides and moon will fish well mate.
I CAME INTO THIS WORLD KICKING, SCREAMING AND COVERED IN SOMEONE ELSES BLOOD. I HAVE NO PROBLEM GOING OUT THE SAME WAY.
