I bought a quintrex a few years ago and the pakage didn't come with a spare, that was an extra i had to buy. Seems to be the norm with new bmt pakages
Excuse my ignorance but I'm just wondering if you get a spare wheel & tyre when you buy a new trailer not part of a boat motor/trailer/package??
I bought a new outboard to put on a boat but then sold the boat when I came into some extra $$.I kept the new donk and bought a Sea Jay 4.55 on a Dunbier trailer- both brand new.
Just wondering if I've been short-changed a bit??

I bought a bmt package just over 12 months ago and a spare was not included but an option.

Hi Mate,
I purchased a New boat, motor and trailer package in June 07, and a spare wheel was not included in the deal.
They are an extra for extra cost.
Cheers
Scott
Seems to be the norm then...be a real pr1ck if ya got a flat on your way home from picking it up!
Thanks for your replies,Darren
Yep I got lucky to. Quintrex BMT package came with a spare
im pretty sure its a legal require ment that it has to be sold with one i mean ever brought a new car without a spare?
You do come across some dealers that supply a spare in the package but doesn't seem to be that often.
The money we pay for our boats should already include spare tyres.
Not sure on the laws off carrying spares though
My boat didn't come with a spare but I used my 200 Yammie Dollars to buy one, it was $150 so had 50 Bucks to upgrade lights to LED's.

I also got one with my fin of theo when i bought it...matt
A bad days fishing has got to be better than any day at work......
I am with Matt on this one, Theo at Mr T's threw a spare in with my Bluefin as well.
I made it conditional of the sale and he obliged without batting an eyelid.
Ask and you may receive.
They too bloody dear though. I am about to buy a 17" high performance tyre for my wifes car and thats only $210.
On the legal side I dont think it is a requirement to carry a spare as it is not a safty issue, only an inconvenience for you but if the spare is unroadworthy then you have a problem as it is a safty issue if you fit that wheel
