    Smelly hot water

    Hi all,

Recently upscaled my lovely Cruise Craft for a floating gin palace (28' cruiser). It is in fantastic condition, only 18mths old and I haven't had any problems - bar one.

It has an electric hot water system, but the water coming out of it absolutely stinks! I have emptied and flushed the fresh water tanks (including draining the water from the heater) but, once the water heats up, it still smells.

Does anyone have advice on a) what could cause it and b) what to do about it?

    Thanks
    Mark.

    Re: Smelly hot water

    G'day Mark,

Have you tried any of the water treatments available when flushing?
You can get them from bias boating.

If that doesnt help, you my have to take the cylinder out and get it professionally cleaned.

I cant say exactly what it is, but it sounds like something has "grown" in the cylinder.

You can also get some very good filters for helping with this too.

    Cheers

    Pete
