Hi,

Finally hit the water friday afternoon with wife after Chrismas silly season and terrible weather. Spend two hrs trolling deap diving minnows up the Mooloolaba canals with no luck. Decided to head out to the mouth rock walls for one last troll, then my 3kg whiting rod with a killalure river rat screems off. With the boat drifting quickly into the breakers and my wife quickly jumped onto the motor to stop us geting swamped. After 4 solid runs on the light gear and a boat full of tourists watching us a 42cm cod was in the landing net. Then we decided to call it a day.

Nice fish mate. I'm heading up that way Saturday for about 2 weeks so I'm hoping the weather is okay for some fishing.
