went down to the weir for about 1 1/2 hrs this arvo, didn't get nothing not even a hit, there were about 15 other anglers didn't see any of them pull in a fish, might give it another go in the morning

hey guys, i went down to Aplins for about 4 hours on sunday, about 4 barra were landed and about another 5 hooked up but spat the hook. none of these fish were mine by the way, i didn't even get a bump. any way while i was there all of the barra landed seemed to caught on live or fresh baits of tarpon and bony bream except for one. pretty much any one using lures didn't stand a chance unless they were white in colour (squidgie slick were very popular). there was plenty of bait around though as one cast of a net in the right spot seemed to get enough live bait for one angler.
    catch ya.
P.S. the largest barra caught while i was there was by a regular at only 70cm and was on a livie.
