Picked up this Flattie in 10m of Water at Peel. Never seen one like it before, dark colour and eyebrows. Anyone know the correct Name?

its a rare species of flathead that is not as commonly caught as others
This australian fishing companion i have here shows the fringe eyed flatty as the tiger and when i looked at fisheries site youse are spot on it's a fringe eyed- flatty this book is wrong so sorry about my first post

Mud Flathead

I would go with fringe eyed flathead, coloration is closer if you look at the pic:

apparently it gets to 58cm and 6.5kg?? Never heard of a 58cm flathead weighing in at 6.5kg without being stuffed with lead first.
