a few spots in tweed.
ok if anyone goes to tweed much here are some spots that have been smacking some fish.
accross from the boat ramp at fingal on the weedbeds always have bream and flathead. if you have a smaller boat you can get right in there and smack bream on surface lures. there have been some snoger whiting at the piggery (a very well known spot in tweed) and its even better at night. this is a good spot to target whiting on poppers on the last of the run out tide. you will also pick up good bream and flathead.
as always there are trevally eating prawns and smaking poppers at boyds bay bridge and where the old rescue boat used to be at the break wall. again it is best to go here at night. a few jack around the bridges and roc walls.(not really any secret spots) as the all hold fish.
the tweed trawlers can be the best spot to pull big bream from as well as jack but even the guys using 120lb hand linds cant hold the jack there.(they are massive!)
a mate was getting bass around the weir on shallow jackal chubbies in the mornings last week.
that should keep most people out of trouble for the day
