4 only officially in the cook-off.

BUT, if blaze wants to bring along a redback for taste testing, by all means bring, bring, bring.

    Road and Conditions update.

If anyone is taking the road from Bundy to Agnes, be aware that there has been a change.

At the intersection where you turn right and then left ( Lowmead, Baffle creek, you know the one ! _)....... there is NO turn left, anymore.

    The 1770 Bar !

There has been a build up of sand close to the rocks at two points. At Low Tide it is quite obvious, so try to travel close to the Green Bouy at the entrance.

The water temp is still ' cool ' and Mackerel have been scarce. The bait fish grounds are producing numbers of yakka and slimie ( small ) but the close areas are bare. This could all change with a degree or two rise in ocean temp.

A few Flying Fish were evident out at about 9k';s ENE of the bar.

    This information is First Hand.....

I'm hoping to shoot up there on the 11th or the 18th (one Saturday or the other) to catch a meal and put some faces to names. Anyone got room for me, or do I have to sleep under a tree?

At this stage it's just a maybe...

just stay on the road and YES, it is sign posted....

Not clearly Peter, but you won't be able to go wrong. If I could draw a pic I would, but really it shouldn't be a problem.

Do you go up via Bundy, Peter ?

I'll try to get there Friday 10th, on Aigutso's recommendation. Let there be fair warning: I don't drink or swear at all, neither can I tolerate sexist, racist, or any other antisocial behaviour. Oh, and I really like Commies.

Really it's all up to my Sister, who is due to give birth to her first on the 11th. I've promised to go to Adelaide asap when it happens, to see her.

I'll ask her to hold off for a while, keep it in the oven...

    Cheers,

    Re: Agnes / 1770 M & G 2008.

mate off mine has set up a mobile marine fit up service just wondering if anyone would use this.

    things he does.

    vhf radios/27 megs
    plumbed livebait tanks/ deck wash
    cd players
    led lights (cockpit cabin trailers)
    sounder/gps
    pre rigging off small outboards

the idea is you buy at best price you can or wife buys you a sounder for birthday you call, the job gets done at your house no trailering the boat anywere ,go to work come home sounders ect in and running.

pm me if you are interested brisbane/gold coast baced.

thought with 1770 so close this was worth a plug

Further to the information post for those that may be travelling out to Musgrave for the first time, here is a you-tube video that shows the lagoon and the island.

    Re: Agnes / 1770 M & G 2008.

Bloody hell!!! don't ya miss some interisting shite when u don't check in here for a couple of days!!!

Some good advice re overnighters out to musgrave there Darren, and glad to see u finally acknowledging the nutritional advantages of cold, tinned food. btw, there was also irish stew and spag and meatballs. Can't beat cold, solidified fat to keep the gut lining in tact. scientifically proven.

AND, we did have spoons, just that once i had a tin in my hand, it was hard to kick the habit of bringing it straight to the chops . we ate on the move too, so that may explain the sauce stains.

Tranter, don't worry bout spooning mate, this year I'll make sure u get well and truly forked!!! By the sounds of it though, don't think you'll have a problem with the "mate" u are bringing along. lol lol lol.

    Damo
Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. But ,flogging him into submission will result in him taking up crabbing.... and once he gets a taste of that sh*t, well, he may never return again.

Damo he has requested to room with you and Stuey, something to do with the g l d n shower Stu almost wore last year

    Not long now,

    Hey Chong
How much for a couple of those wall decorations, it may be cheaper than the 2x1litre Bundy I owe Damo acka Black Rat, does it taste similar, it can't be any werse than Murf's, even Deckie might be able to hold it in and swallow
